Portugal Equestrian is an international programme designed to promote the sports training and tourism activities within two riding centres in the NW of Portugal - the Clube Hípico do Norte in Esposende and the Centro Hípico Ir. Pedro Coelho in Barcelos.

Both centres are owned and managed by the Barros family, with an extensive equestrian experience at high level competition.

The centres host 10 annual events, including two international Show Jumping Competitions. The facilities at the centres are considered some of the best in Portugal. We also have a great team of qualified instructors and support staff. The centre has more than 90 horses, combining our own and private livery. The welfare of all our horses is paramount with individual care given at all times. Classical Dressage Riding with a pure Lusitano is a unique experience for all levels of riders. With a wide selection of horses available for both dressage and show jumping we guarantee a high quality of tuition from beginners to advanced. All horse are ridden with English tack.
